Mission Transition Mastery

Veteran based service organizations (VSO’s) that provide actionable advocacy and leverage networks can empower those who have answered the call to serve our nation in myriad ways. VME (Veterans in Media & Entertainment) is a veteran non-profit organization that connects and promotes both current and former armed service members who are working in the television and film industry. Establishing a firm and secure connection within the entertainment industry can facilitate and accelerate opportunities for career’s, jobs, and internships. The Hollywood culture has a long tradition of nepotism which can offer distinct advantages to industry connections that have an affiliation to establishment members and their cohort.

Veterans are greatly underrepresented throughout media in comparison to other industries. The legacy of Hollywood’s Golden Era showcased a notable number of prominent actors who served, however today’s contemporary A-List group of veterans has dwindled considerably. Few major household names can be found that are veterans: Clint Eastwood (USA), Morgan Freeman (USAF), Adam Driver (USMC) and Gal Gadot (IDF) comprise a small percentage of Hollywood elites who maintain influence and relevance with the major studios. We listen and act to your questions and suggestions, especially those that can assist and make a difference to our proud veteran community. We’ll keep you apprised and updated as to other 'boots on the ground' organizations who maintain a presence throughout Americana with future blog posts, stay frosty! vmeconnect.org
